About Your Care

Your ongoing care is a very personal and important matter. We encourage each of our patients to get to know about our doctors and to take an active role in understanding their care and treatment. If at any time during the course of your treatment you do not understand any facet of your care, or if you would like to know more about your particular condition, please do not hesitate to ask your doctor or nurse.

Most gastrointestinal examinations are performed at the Endoscopy Center of El Paso (1300 Murchison) and can also be performed at most area hospitals. The procedure requires a three- to four-hour stay.

If surgery or other specialized follow-up care is called for, our doctors will consult with your primary care physician in order to refer you to an appropriate specialist. We will, however, continue to supervise your care along with your primary care physician in order to ensure that you are receiving proper treatment.

The majority of our patients are physician referrals. However, on occasion, selected self-referred patients will be seen by our doctors. Should your insurance company require a referral from your primary care physician for specialty services, you are required to have this referral prior to being seen.

All visits to our offices are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment or to speak to someone regarding your care, call us at 915-532-1620. If you have an emergency, we will immediately accommodate you by scheduling an appointment as soon as your condition requires.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please notify the office as soon as possible. There will be a $25 fee for untimely cancellations of appointments (cancellations made within 24 hours).
